Why test during effort
A resting measurement may not show what happens when you walk uphill, run or exercise. A supervised test links workload with symptoms, heart rate, ECG and blood pressure when these are part of the protocol. In HLC care, the aim is to make activity planning better informed and to identify findings that need clinical follow-up.
A gradual, supervised test
After an initial review, the workload increases in stages on the agreed exercise equipment. The team monitors your response and stops according to the protocol, symptoms and clinical judgment. Recovery measurements can be part of the assessment. This is an examination with a defined purpose, not a competition to continue at any cost.
Preparing and using the result
Bring exercise clothing, suitable shoes and a medicine list. Tell the team about chest discomfort, breathlessness, fainting, recent illness or injuries before the test. Follow its instructions about meals, caffeine and medicines; do not stop prescribed treatment on your own. The report connects achieved workload and the monitored response with the original clinical question.
